Restaurant Review of "Puku Puku Tei"

I would like to introduce Puku Puku Tei. Puku Puku Tei is a Western restaurant in Hiyoshi that opened in 1989. It's very popular and on holidays, it's lined up before the restaurant opens.

                                                          aremo koremo plate

Puku Puku Tei has a lot of delicious Western food. The most recommended dish is the "tokusei hanburg" (¥1280). There is beef tongue in the hamburger steak. And it has demi-glace sauce and horseradish tartar sauce on it. The taste is rich and very delicious. In addition, rice omelet (¥1180), pork loin cutlet (¥1380) and crab cream croquette (¥1280) are also popular. Lunch comes with rice or salad depending on the dish. Also, the recommendation for dinner is "aremo koremo plate" ( ¥2180). It includes a special hamburger steak, fried shrimp, crab cream croquette, Napolitan or meat sauce or rice omelet on the plate. It looks like a kid's lunch plate. My favorite soup is "vichyssoise soup" ( ¥580). vichyssoise soup is made of potatoes. It's cold, sweet and delicious. The restaurant also has a lunch box menu. All dishes come with rice and the price of the dish is the same as eating at the restaurant. Lunch box orders are accepted only on the day.

The location of Puku Puku tei is a 1 minute walk from Hiyoshi Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. There is no parking at this restaurant lot, so, I recommend parking in a nearby parking lot or using public transportation. There are about 40 seats, including table seats and counter seats. Puku Puku Tei is a restaurant with a homey atmosphere, but it is a mask restaurant. Therefore, countermeasures against coronavirus are good, but unfortunately you can't spend a long time.
Why don't you go there?

Thank you for reading my blog.

Movie Review of "Rain Man"

                                                Tom Cruise           Dustin Hoffman

I would like to introduce Rain Man. Rain Man is an American movie released in 1988. The production company is United Artists Corporation and the director is Barry Levinson. The main characters in the movie are Charlie Babbitt played by Tom Cruise and Raymond Babbitt with autistic savant played by Dustin Hoffman. The movie won the 61st Academy Awards, the 46th Golden Globe Awards and the 39th Berlin International Film Festival and made $354million at the worldwide box office.

What is Rain Man? I thought when I saw the title of this movie. Charlie said "Rain Man sang a song when he was scared. But it's an imaginary friend and this is a story from childhood." Is Rain Man really an imaginary friend? and Why did Rain Man disappear? This doubt will be solved in the middle of the story. This movie is a heartwarming story of an older brother, Raymond, with autistic savant and his younger brother Charlie.

My impression of the movie is that this isn't a sad story, It's a touching story. Raymond has autistic savant. I didn't know much about autistic savant. It is difficult for them to communicate with people. But they are blessed with exceptional ability. I was surprised at Raymond's exceptional ability. At first Charlie couldn't understand Raymond but spending time with Raymond changed his feelings steadily. I learned the importance of respecting each other after watching Rain Man. I recommend this movie to everyone.
